The final day of President Keisuke Shimoyamada's official visit to Dublin may have been the shortest, but it was certainly not lacking in significance. As the photographer accompanying this memorable journey, I was honoured to document a day filled with economic insights, cultural respect, and heartfelt farewells.
Exploring Innovation at Enterprise Ireland
The day began with a visit to Enterprise Ireland, where President Shimoyamada met with key representatives focused on driving Irish innovation and global entrepreneurship. Discussions centred around opportunities for collaboration between Ireland and Japan, and how organisations like JCI can serve as a bridge for future-focused ventures. My lens captured moments of inspiration, handshakes between changemakers, and vibrant discussions in motion.
Enterprise Ireland's commitment to empowering startups and supporting international partnerships resonated deeply with JCI’s mission of nurturing young leaders and entrepreneurs. As always, I aimed to visually document both the professionalism and energy in the room.

The final stop of the day was the Embassy of Japan in Dublin—a fitting and heartfelt conclusion to the President's visit. Welcomed by embassy staff, President Shimoyamada was honoured in a warm reception that reflected the deep ties between Japan and Ireland. Cultural pride, mutual respect, and shared values were at the heart of the visit.
